LUX Industries goes Green with Solar Unit installation at Dankuni Plant

The company recently installed a 1 Megawatt solar unit in their plant at Dankuni which is spanned over 6 lakh sq. ft. and is one of the largest facility in the hosiery industry. The Dankuni plant was inaugurated in June 2016. With this solar installation Lux became one of the rarest private sector companies who have been able to setup a solar unit in one of their factories. Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group (“Group”) sets up Lockset Sub Assembly unit in Female Cell of Yerawada Jail, Pune

Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group has collaborated with Yerawada Central Prison, Pune for installing and setting up a manufacturing automotive lockset sub-assembly unit at female prison inside jail premises. Setting up of automotive lock parts in jail will facilitate female inmates to earn basic livelihood and learn skill sets required in manufacturing and finishing of automotive locks.

A special female cell of Yerawada Jail has identified around 25 – 30 female jail inmates as per the criteria laid down by Minda Corporation Limited, a flagship company of Spark Minda, Ashok Minda Group (NSE: MINDACORP, BSE: 538962). The female inmates will be trained to work on a shop floor for producing automotive locksets. The Group will also pay the compliance wages to the Jail Authorities, which will subsequently be paid to the inmates by the Jail Authorities. Ministry of Public Health, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and BRS Ventures, UAE today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to take over two hospitals and establish a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Kabul, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The MoU was signed in the presence of H.E. Ashraf Ghani, the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. For enhancement of the public healthcare infrastructure in Kabul, BRS Ventures will operate and manage Sheikh Zayed Hospital (SZ Hospital) and Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital (WAK Hospital) under the public private partnership model.
