The oldest Durga Puja in Mumbai, popularly known as North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti is all set to change its venue from Tulip Star, Juhu to Golden Tobacco Limited, Tobacco House, S.V. Road, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai, Maharashtra 400056

They have been organising this grand puja celebration for the last 71 years. North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti who have been organising Durga Puja since the last 5-7 years at Tulip Star were compelled to change its well-known venue due to Tulip Star property dispute.

Veteran actor & organiser of Debu Mukherjee & Krishna Mukherjee says “We had to shift the venue because, with Maa Durga’s blessings Tulip Star has settled their dispute & re opening as V Hotels very soon. Years back it was shut down due to legal dispute, which is why we decided to keep our Durga Puja at Tulip Star, Juhu. Now since they are in the process to reopen the venue, we decided to shift our venue” Read more

To create awareness on No Tobacco Day, doctors and the staff members of Sakra World Hospital came together and organised a walkathon in the city. Rahul Jain, AGM, Western Railways; Dr. BR Dhareshwar, Chief Medical Director, Western Railways and Rajiv Himmat, Dy. Director Marketing, P.D. Hinduja Hospital inaugurate the free lung check-up camp at Churchgate station

On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, P.D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mahim, today conducted a free lung checkup camp from 09.00am to 03.00pm at Churchgate and CST stations. Trained hospital staff conducted a ‘Peak Flow Meter Test’ and an ‘Oxygen Test’ to check the effects of smoking and direct tobacco use, along with the overall effects of city pollution on the lung health of Mumbaikars. Results of these tests were shared with those that participated, along with information on maintaining lung health in a city with growing pollution, and exorbitant tobacco use.
