Startups Club Announces Demo Day 2018 in Partnership with Startup India

Startups Club, in partnership with Startup India, the Government of India’s (Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry) initiative to boost innovation and create jobs, today announced Demo Day 2018, India’s biggest startup event. Scheduled to be held on the 15th & 16th of December at KTPO, Bengaluru, the venue will host over 10,000 attendees, including startup founders, corporates, students, experts, influencers, innovators, researchers and investors.

In addition to the Government’s ‘Startup India’ initiative, business software services company, Zoho, cloud infrastructure provider, DigitalOcean, technology business Incubator arm of VIT, VITTBI and Indian banking major, Kotak Mahindra Bank, are partnering with Startups Club for Demo Day 2018.

Startups Club is reaching out to entrepreneurs and other stakeholders across tier I, II and III cities of India, through roadshows. As the biggest startup event in the country, Demo Day is a platform that encourages the ecosystem to grow through collaboration.

Six Companies Selection for Bridge Innovations

The growing India-Israel relationship took a step further as six Israeli startups with innovative technologies in the fields of healthcare, agriculture and water management interacted with various Indian businesses. The innovation week 23-27 July was jointly started over a year ago by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and his Israeli counterpart Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu along with Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) and Invest India and represents a peak in the relationship between the two countries. Designed with the purpose of helping Israeli companies leverage their technologies, develop, adapt and commercialize their innovation in the Indian sub-continent, the India-Israel Innovation Bridge is managed by the Israel Innovation Authority, the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India and Invest India. Unicorn India Ventures comes calling to Kerala startups

Unicorn India Ventures announce three investments in Kerala — based startups – GenRobotic, SectorQube & Perfectfit Fashion. The Fund has been actively exploring investment in Kerala post partnering with Kerala Start-up Mission (KSUM), which is also an investor in Unicorn India.

With the State Government’s backing, KSUM is aggressively promoting entrepreneurship in the state aligned to the vision of Startup India and Unicorn India is at the forefront to provide strategic guidance and financial support to Kerala’s fast growing startup story.

 

Unicorn India Ventures is a Mumbai ­based VC fund that invests in early stage startups working on business ideas spanning sectors like consumer, enterprise, healthcare, ESDM and deep technology domains. These investments are made from Unicorn’s first fund launched in 2015 with investments across 10 startups made over the last 2 years.
