The Centre for CSR and Sustainability Excellence, a non profit foundation conducted its first successful talk show D-talk on the subject Creating a Safe Online Space for Women and Children at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library. The flagship talk show titled “My Safe Space” intends to highlight the growing trend of trolling and abusing women online while indicate cyber threat against children. The agenda of the talk session was to emphasize the major types of crime witnessed by women and children in the online space and provide some recommendations on security, safety and legal ramifications.

The show was graced with the presence of some distinguished subject-matter experts such as clinical psychologist and activist Dr. Jayanti Dutta- Clinical Psychologist & Activist, Advocate Prashant Mali- Bombay High Court, Advocate Mr. Pavan Duggal- Supreme Court, Cyber security expert Mr. Rakhsit Tandon. Godrej Fund Management enters the commercial real estate private equity space

Godrej Fund Management (“GFM”), the real estate private equity arm of the Godrej Group, announces a first close of its US $450 million office development fund and a first close of its US $150 million office investment fund. Jointly the funds can invest/develop office assets worth over US $1 billion in value.

With this development, the assets under management for GFM, which is also managing two existing residential investment funds, has crossed the US $1 billion mark within one year of it being spun out as a separate business.  The two new funds that have been raised are: Godrej Build to Core – I (“GBTC-I”), a US $450 million ‘club style’ office investment platform that will invest in developing world class, Grade-A office buildings in leading locations across the key office markets of India. APG Asset Management N.V. (“APG”), which has invested in previous funds managed by GFM, will be the cornerstone investor for GBTC-I. The other newly raised fund is Godrej Office Fund- I (GOF-I), a US $150 million discretionary blind pool fund that will invest in core and core-plus office and commercial properties across India. Spotlight Productions celebrated their ninth year at Symphony Space Theatre located at New York City. Varsha Naik’s Navrang Dance Academy, NJ shined at the Symphony State theatre. The only act that featured an Indian Dance form at the show – “Dancing in the Spotlight”. Varsha Naik, who is the choreographer, along with her talented team of 21 dancers proudly showcased Indian culture and art through their dance at the prestigious Symphony Space Theatre on Broadway. KPIT and Birlasoft to come together to create two companies in the ‘Automotive Engineering and Mobility Solutions’ and ‘Digital Business IT Services’ space

KPIT (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a well-established technology company with deep expertise in Auto Engineering and Mobility Solutions, and strong presence in Business IT with significant ERP expertise and niche digital competency and, Birlasoft, a part of the USD 1.6 billion diversified CK Birla Group, today announced the coming together of KPIT and Birlasoft, to create a USD 700+ million combined entity that will later demerge into two separate companies, focused on ‘Automotive Engineering and Mobility Solutions’ (the new KPIT Technologies) and ‘Digital Business IT Services’ (Birlasoft) respectively. During the period prior to completion of the deal, KPIT and Birlasoft will continue to be run by their current management, in addition to which management from KPIT and Birlasoft will work together to familiarize Birlasoft with the ITSS business.

 

At the conclusion of the deal, two new companies will be created. The new KPIT Technologies will be a USD 200+ million focused Engineering Services company that will be created by tapping into the current Engineering business of KPIT to create a global leader in Automotive Engineering and Mobility Solutions.

 

The new ‘Birlasoft’ will be a USD 500+ million Digital Business IT Services company that will be created by combining the KPIT ITSS business and the current Birlasoft creating a new leader in the mid-tier IT services space, which will also be called Birlasoft. Read more
