Gurugram kids enliven Gardener’s theory, elicits 8 intelligence skills

Glimpses of MI-ME 2018

Suncity School organized the 8th edition of their largest inter-school competition – “Multiple Intelligence-MI ME.” Over 160 students from 11 reputed schools from Gurugram participated in the competition. The chief Guest on the occasion was Ms. Sunita Nagpal, Principal, Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok. Eminent schools such as Amity International School Sector- 43, Manav Rachna International School Sector-43, Blue Bells Public School Sec-10, Blue Bells Preparatory School Sector- 4, DPS Sector- 14 were among participants.

The competition ‘MI-me’ is a first of its kind initiative by Suncity School and has been meticulously designed in sync with Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligence. The platform provides an opportunity to students to explore and evaluate their intelligence traits and latent talents. National Geographic, a brand that has a rich legacy of 130 years of telling the most inspiring and spectacular stories, announced an exclusive documentary on one of the oldest regiments of the Indian Army, The President’s Bodyguard. The film, which will definitely hit the patriotic chord with the viewers, is set to premiere on the channel on the 72st Independence Day at 9 pm. The documentary is narrated by Amitabh Bachchan, whose voice strings the film together.

Commenting on National Geographic documentary, the Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, said, “Ceremonial occasions like the Republic Day parade, the President’s address to Parliament, oath-taking ceremony of a new President, or receiving a visiting head of state, are watched keenly in India and abroad. The President’s Bodyguard displays the best traditions of discipline and skills of our Armed Forces. Their flawless turn-out and impressive bearing speak for the heritage of our country, and our Armed Forces. But behind their skills, while standing erect or on horse-back, is years of hard work and the relentless pursuit of perfection. These are untiring, dedicated and brave soldiers – as good as the best in the world. Govt. of Haryana joins hands with Youth4work to help millions of students showcase their skills and get Jobs

Government of Haryana, Higher Education department & Youth4work have entered into a collaboration to facilitate Skill Profiling of All higher Education students in Haryana with Youth4work & help them get Jobs and Internship Opportunities. Currently over 2 Lac students are passing each year gaining technical education in Haryana. This Tie-up helps and ensures all these students to use the new age technology and digital medium to give a free skill tests and showcase their skill profiles online.
