Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) Bags Prestigious Award for India’s Best Vocational Training University

Adding yet another feather to its cap, Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) received the coveted “India Leadership Award 2018” for being India’s Best Vocational Training University on 7th October 2018 at Hotel Taj, Bengaluru by the Chief Guest, Ms. Soha Ali Khan in the presence of more than 100 affluent industry leaders. Amway ups the ante on skilling its direct sellers in tune with Skill India

Amway India, the country’s largest FMCG direct selling company,  reinforced its alignment with the Government’s Skill India by conducting a series of training sessions for its direct sellers in association with Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India (RASCI). The company held a three hours intensive training workshop in Mumbai in collaboration with RASCI for its direct sellers to certify them as ‘Individual Sales Professional’ a certification based on National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Till date, Amway has certified its 8600 Direct Sellers as ‘Individual Sales Professional’ by conducting training programs all over India. DesignTech Systems has signed an MoU with IASC (Instrumentation Automation Surveillance and Communication) Sector Skill Council – a not for Profit Organization under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India to provide advanced skills based training certifications to qualified trained personnel. The objective behind inking this MoU is to facilitate and encourage the aspiring and ambitious youngsters to acquire specialized technical skills based certifications and accreditations from an esteemed government institution, IASC, founded by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under their premier Skill India Initiative. Industry recognized and respected Accreditation from IASC would certainly open up various quality employment opportunities for the certified job aspirants.

As an assessment Partner and Associate for IASC, DesignTech, under the terms of MoU, will create awareness about and promote these Certification courses at the existing State Funded Centres of Excellence managed and operated by DesignTech Systems. In accordance to the Agreements entered into with various State Governments such as Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Jharkhand, DesignTech Systems has established and is executing trainings on latest and most advanced technologies in electro-mechanical field at more than 25 Siemens Centres of Excellence across various cities in these states. The film highlights the untapped potential of India’s talented craftsmen and skilled workers at the grassroot level and the challenges and issues faced by them. The Rummy Federation organized Skill Gaming Summit that focused on prospects and regulatory outlook of the online skill gaming industry. The event took place on 19th of July 2018 at Hotel Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai.

The Rummy Federation (TRF) was launched in December 2017 with a mandate to bring together all online Rummy operators in India and have them adopt a self-regulatory platform. With the online rummy industry growing rapidly, it was imperative to inculcate a culture of responsibly and integrity in the industry. TRF has come a long way and in just 8 months has prepared the first-of-a-kind Code of Conduct for online rummy operators. GJC extends its support to Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) for upcoming WorldSkills Competition to be held at Kazan, Russia in 2019

The All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC)), formerly known as All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF), extends its support to Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) for preparing candidates to represent India in the upcoming WorldSkills Competition to be held at Kazan, Russia in 2019.

The preparation for the competition started with a registration process, where about more than 150 candidates across India registered themselves for the WorldSkills Competition. The registered participants went through a screening process, where 16 candidates were shortlisted for the two regional level competitions which were held in May and June, 2018 and 6 winners were identified, who would compete at the national level IndiaSkills Competition later this year.
