3M India addresses the importance of 100% safety compliance behavior at the 3rd India Pharmaceutical Advisory Council in Mumbai

On the back of celebrating National Safety Month, 3M India organized the third edition of the India Pharmaceutical Advisory Council (IPAC) in Mumbai today. Aimed at educating and addressing daily safety challenges and ensuring worker safety, the IPAC brought together 3M’s Global/Indian experts and pharmaceutical partners such as Abbott, Cipla, Emcure, GSK, Inventia Healthcare, Mylan, Microlabs, Unichem and Zydys Pfizer among others, to discuss the importance of “Moving towards 100% Safety Compliance Behavior”.

 

Talking about the risk arising from solvents in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Bharat Londhe, Global EHS Head for Piramal, suggested the methods they are using to build the engineering and administrative controls. He also emphasized on the emerging needs of Anti-static PPE to avoid fire hazards at the workplace. Read more

Radio City takes up the Cause for Road Safety in Mumbai this Holi, with #‘BlackandWhiteHoli’

Radio City, India’s leading radio network has launched #BlackandWhiteHoli, an initiative aimed at improving road safety in Mumbai. Spearheaded by the popular duo of Radio City, RJ Salil and RJ Archana of ‘Kasa Kai Mumbai’, the initiative aims at reducing road accidents due to not being able to spot speed breakers and zebra crossings. Radio City has joined forces with ‘Chal Rang De’, a non-profit organization on a mission to make Mumbai gorgeous again, to paint speed breakers in black and white, thereby enhancing their visibility. The activity that kicked-off on in February will continue for a fortnight till the festival of Holi in March.  Read more

Leading Indian tyre manufacturer CEAT Ltd. will be airing a special social media campaign to build awareness to reduce road accidents as part of the road safety week 2018 (11th to 17th January 2018). Drive Safe Dad campaign originates from an innovative idea that blends emotions and technology in one package. In this initiative, in the video, Dads receive a personalized bobble head (handcrafted to resemble their kid), which is connected to the odometer of the vehicle. On over speeding, the device plays the recorded personalised message from their sons or daughters asking them to slow down.
