The oldest Durga Puja in Mumbai, popularly known as North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti is all set to change its venue from Tulip Star, Juhu to Golden Tobacco Limited, Tobacco House, S.V. Road, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai, Maharashtra 400056

They have been organising this grand puja celebration for the last 71 years. North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti who have been organising Durga Puja since the last 5-7 years at Tulip Star were compelled to change its well-known venue due to Tulip Star property dispute.

Veteran actor & organiser of Debu Mukherjee & Krishna Mukherjee says “We had to shift the venue because, with Maa Durga’s blessings Tulip Star has settled their dispute & re opening as V Hotels very soon. Years back it was shut down due to legal dispute, which is why we decided to keep our Durga Puja at Tulip Star, Juhu. Now since they are in the process to reopen the venue, we decided to shift our venue” Read more

Rani Mukerji’s Hichki to Release in Kazakhstan

Rani Mukerji won hearts as well as box office glory with her convincing and spirited performance as a teacher who deals with Tourette Syndrome in Hichki earlier this year. Since then, the film has been winning laurels across the globe as well. The film received a standing ovation at the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) and at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Rani also won the Best Actress award for her outstanding performance at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

 

The film had a successful run in Russia and now Hichki is set to release in Kazakhstan. Known for some interest in Hindi films, Hichki will get a Russian voice over release here, as it is one of Kazakhstan’s official languages.  Read more
