The Park’s New Festival 2018: Celebrating 12 years of #CuratingCulture

The Park Hotels, pioneers of luxury boutique hotels in India, and Prakriti Foundation brings a bouquet of commendable performing arts across music, dance, comedy and dramatic theatre with The Park’s New Festival 2018. To be held across 6 cities over a period of almost a month, this is the 12th edition of this annual cultural rendezvous.

To be held across six cities – Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad, The Park’s New Festival will kick start from 30th Aug in Chennai and will culminate on 21st September, 2018 in Hyderabad.

  • Stories by Hand by Preeti Vasudevan

Stories by Hand is a solo work on identity told through personal stories and narrated through the continuous placement and displacement of gestures affected by memory. Stories by Hand is a solo work searching for an individual identity through stories which are personal, mythical, and social and are narrated through the continuous placement and displacement of gestures affected by memory. Stories by Hand takes the hand gestures of Bharatanatyam (classical Indian dance) as the basis for a storytelling dance-theater interweaving east and west, past and present, the mythic and the everyday. The show is experienced through three clustered themes: Relationships, The Dancing Body and Death. Read more

Embassy Group celebrated World Environment Day at Embassy Office Parks with a host of events and activities curated to give employees a chance to connect with nature. These events that ranged from tree plantation drives, expert talks on Plastic Pollution, cyclothons and flea markets with eco-friendly products on sale, gave employees an opportunity to learn about environmental conservation and become aware of their efforts towards a cleaner and greener planet. Embassy Office Parks hosted the 9th edition of Contours Women’s Day Run at Embassy Manyata Business Park today. Having successfully completed eight race editions, the 9th edition of the run was held to spread awareness on the importance of staying fit and raise funds in aid of Shristi Special Academy. Contours Women’s Day Run is supported by Embassy and all proceeds raised at the Run will be used to build a multispecialty Therapy Hall for the children with special needs at the Shristi Special Academy. The Run was also a good start point for women to embrace a healthy lifestyle. It was open to both women and men and featuring various categories – 2K, 5K and 10K Runs.  Around 3000 enthusiastic participants took part at the event from across the city. Read more
