Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) has been supporting and curating grassroots enterprises and craftsmen across India, in the areas of product development, design & packaging sensitization, with the twin-objective of reviving the traditional arts and crafts of India besides affording a sustainable means of livelihood to the artisans. The Bank, through its training programmes and workshops, has been able to motivate second generation artisans into learning ancestral crafts, build a sustainable business and help gain due recognition for the various arts and crafts, at several platforms across India and overseas.

In order to further strengthen these efforts, Exim Bank has organized an exclusively curated exhibition-cum-sale of Handmade traditional & contemporary arts, crafts and textiles from across India. The three-day event, ‘Exim Bazaar’ is being held from September 28 to 30, 2018 (Friday to Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 07:00 PM at the Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai – 18. Read more

DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance has organized its second Behtar India Go Green City Summit at Birla High School, Elgin in Kolkata today after the grand success of its first city summit in Bangalore. The school earned the coveted distinction of hosting the Behtar India Go Green City summit by recycling 16400 kgs of waste, the maximum amount collected by any school in the city. The Heritage School is at the second place by recycling 13204 kgs of waste. With this, the second season of Behtar India campaign has moved into its second leg wherein the campaign is being taken across to 10 different cities such as Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata among others. Launched last year, the Behtar India campaign supports the community to step forward and help itself in achieving better health, hygiene and environment standards. The eight month long campaign is focused on three main pillars– Health, Hygiene and Environment with recycling as its core theme. Read more

In the era of interdisciplinary learning, budding engineers need to develop interest towards all branches of engineering in order to inculcate the skill of Innovations. Innovations from Engineers have potential to transform the society.” He elaborated on the initiatives being taken to encourage the talented students to take their innovative ideas from labs to market. VTU is proactively funding innovative projects aimed at rural technology, IT sector and engineering.
