A bag full of award nominations for Love Sonia at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne!

Along with the festival spree for the team of Love Sonia and Director Tabrez Noorani, it’s raining nominations too. As the team is all set to take the film to Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Love Sonia is not just opening the festival but also has been nominated in the various award categories including a Best Director nomination for Tabrez Noorani.

The festival will be held in Melbourne, Australia from 10th August 2018.

The film is nominated in three categories – Best Indie film, Best Director and Best-Supporting Actress for Freida Pinto and Richa Chadha. Read more

With the excitement building up ahead of the 19th Edition of NEXA 2018 IIFA AWARDS Styled by Myntra, the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards announces nominations lists in the popular category today as Global Voting goes live from 22nd May. The biggest celebration of Indian cinema is set to be held at the reputed, Siam Niramit theatre, Bangkok on the 22nd & 24th of June as IIFA honours the highest level of achievement seen with the glamorous IIFA statuette at the highly anticipated Awards night.

Indian Cinema has had an incredible year with a diverse number of truly unique films that not only took the box office by storm but were also critically acclaimed. With a whopping 7 nominations in the popular categories including the Best picture category, ‘Tumhari Sulu’ is the firm favorite followed by ‘Newton’, which amassed an impressive 5 nominations including in the Best Direction category. The top picks for the Best Picture category have been revealed as Bareilly Ki Barfi, Hindi Medium, Newton, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha and Tumhari Sulu. Read more

HCL invite nominations for HCL Grant 2019 from NGOs across India

HCL Foundation announces its fourth consecutive year of the HCL Grant and invites applications from NGOs contributing towards rural development. HCL Grant recognizes the NGOs that strive for transformation through path breaking work and have good governance and institutional mechanisms. Applications are invited from NGOs who are working with the commitment to strive for transformation in the areas of Education, Health and Environment.

The third edition of HCL Grant witnessed an overwhelming response from the participants as it received 3449 entries in all three categories from across the country, representing almost every Indian state, as well as union territories.

The first three editions of HCL Grant have been endorsed by senior most leadership of the country, Former President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Honorable Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Mr. Arun Jaitely and Honorable Home Minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh who felicitated the recipients and also complimented HCL on the institutionalization of a mechanism for Corporate Social Responsibility through CSR.

20th Century Fox Leads the Nominations at the 90th Academy Awards.

LO and BEHOLD! Fox brings reason to rejoice for the movie lovers this February. Fox Star Studios is releasing 90th Academy Award front-runners ‘The Shape of Water’ and ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ in India on 16th and 23rd February 2018 respectively.

 Guillermo del Toro’s lavish monster romance “The Shape of Water” is leading the pack with a whopping 13 nominations followed by ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ which has garnered 7 nominations. As a matter of fact, ‘The Shape of Water’ came just shy of tying the record of 14 nominations by Titanic in the year 1997.

‘The Shape of Water’ has garnered nominations including The Best Picture, The Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay and ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ is nominated for Best Actress, Best supporting actor, Best original screenplay. Apart from this, Fox’s The Boss Baby, War for the Planet of the Apes, Logan, Ferdinand and The Greatest Showman has also received nominations. Read more

Nominations for the 4thStar Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA) Awards

The Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA) today announced its nominees for the Star GiMA Awards 2013. With three successful editions of the Awards, the Academy moves into its 4th edition with a promising bank of artistes in its list of nominees. Having partnered with leaders of the Indian Music industry, GiMA is a pioneering effort by Wizcraft International Entertainment to recognize Indian music that transcends genres in the country.  The nominees are voted by GiMAs jury panel which comprises some of the most respected artistes in the country. As per a mandate by KPMG, the official auditors for the Awards, all jurors do not adjudicate on categories/genres in which they are in contention or are associated with professionally.
