Sixteen stunning divas-in-the-making were unveiled by actor Mugdha Godse at a dazzling curtain-raiser for Femina Style Diva West 2014 at Hyatt Pune Kalyani Nagar
After discovering young fashion aspirants in Goa, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore, the event is gearing up for an exciting West edition in Mumbai. Since the first-ever Femina Style Diva kick-started in Pune back in 2012, the Peshwa city was the obvious venue for the curtain-raiser. The evening that was all about high-octane glamour, was hosted by one of Pune’s favourite RJs Gavin Phillips. The event opened with a power-packed performance by Piyush Malhotra Dance Troupe.
To introduce the 16 gorgeous contestants, the celebrity of choice was local girl and model-turned-actor Mugdha Godse, who gave the girls some very practical and useful tips on staying stylish.
The contestants then walked the ramp in beautiful ethnic designs from Jashn Sarees and head-turning jewellery from Sheetal Creations. This was followed by singer Aman Trika who had the guests clapping along as he crooned his popular Bollywood tracks like Hukka Bar. Achla Sachdev mentor and show director then, revealed the training schedule leading up to the finale and also showed the girls how it is done by walking the runway when prompted by the host.
What followed next can only be described as a-never-seen-before act. The finalists showcased a fun and funky casual wear collection from B:kind and the choreography entailed them clicking a selfie on the stage! The glamorous do came to an end with the girls clicking a Femina Style Diva West selfie with Mugdha Godse.
The event was attended by a host of style connoisseurs including popular Bahar Shah from B: Kind, DJ Abhishek Mantri, celebrity chef Shailendra Kekade, Dr. Madhu Chopra from Studio Aesthetique, Gautam Ladkat of Panama Group, Saurav Chaterjee from Aditya Birla Hospital, Sheetal Biyani from Sheetal Creations, Shailesh Bhandari from Volkswagen Santosh Deshmukh from Piaggio (Vespa).
