Shakti Kapoor and Jagbir Dahiya distributed cheques to NGO and celebrated the success of film The Journey of Karma by cutting cake at Sunny Super Sound,Juhu

Producer Jagbir Dahiya organised special screening of his Hindi film The Journey of Karma for different NGO’s and social workers at Sunny Super Sound, Juhu . Shakti Kapoor postponed his trip to New Zeland and came to give the cheque to Prayas Charitable Trust and Aap Ki Awaaz Foundation NGO. Sheetal Mhatre who is head of women cell,Congress Youth, Mumbai and Nikita Rawal of Aastha Foundation also came to see the film and to share their views regarding the film. They also cut the cake with media as the film is running successfully all over and has collected more than 4.25 Crore in five days. Jagbir Dahiya has also announced that he will give 20 percent of his film profit for Women empowerment. We wish him all the best for his efforts to support women.

Mumbai NGO to attempt Guinness World Record for World’s Biggest Modak weighing 650 Kgs in support of Kerala Flood Rescue Efforts

A Mumbai-based NGO Utkarsh Education Trust will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the World’s Biggest Modak.

The NGO which is supported by the Nevada Putman Foundation, through this attempt wants to highlight the plight of the poor in Kerala and create awareness and motivate Mumbaikars to donate and support the cause of Kerala Flood Rescue and Relief work.

The brainchild of Dr Pranav Kabra, the event is supported by several prominent citizens from the area including social activist Nevada Putman.

The attempt will take place on 13th September at Evershine Nagar at Malad in suburban Mumbai. A bevy of Bollywood celebs and Tv stars are expected to be in attendance at the event. Read more

Bengaluru based self-funded NGO New India Charitable Trust founded by entrepreneur couple Mr. Vijay Tata and Mrs Amrita Tata has come forward to help the Kathua rape victim’s family. The Bengaluru based NGO that has actively taken up the mantle to help and support victims of crime against women, aided the victim’s family with financial, legal and moral support post the horrific incident. The NGO has reached out to the victim’s family and has contributed a sum of Rs.5 lakhs to Mohammad Yousaf, the father of the victim, who was raped and murdered in Rasana Village, Kathua in Kashmir.
