PhonePe is now live across over 1 lakh offline retail stores in Hyderabad

India’s fastest growing payments platform today announced that it has grown its offline merchant base to over 1.4 lakh Andhra Pradesh & Telangana States. This reflects PhonePe’s phenomenal acceptance across large organised retail stores as well as small and mid-size retail stores in the city. Being one of the pioneers in the UPI space, PhonePe enables merchants to accept payments from consumers through multiple instruments like UPI, Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Wallets. PhonePe also offers multiple solutions which makes it easy for merchants to start accepting digital payments. These include integrated payment solutions, QR codes and POS devices.

Speaking on reaching this milestone, Yuvraj Singh Shekhawat, Head – Offline Organized Business, PhonePe, said, “Our offline business has shown phenomenal traction in the last one year. We are now live at most organised retail outlets across grocery, fuel, medicines and account for 6 -10% of all non-cash transactions. Customers can now transact seamlessly using PhonePe at small Kirana stores as well as large retail outlets. The entire payments process is extremely fast and seamless ensuring consumers have a convenient experience and shop owners/cashiers do not require extensive training making their operations easier. Along with Hyderabad, we are also seeing tremendous acceptance and growth across other key markets including Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai.”

The brand accomplished a successful feat by selling 2 lakh units of Realme 2 within 5 minutes of the sale. Realme phones have consistently been the customer favorite over the past few months and Realme 2 makes no exception in adding to this record. The next sale of Realme 2 is scheduled on 11thSeptember, 2018 from 12:00pm onwards.

Launched on August 28, Realme 2 has already witnessed an unprecedented demand online and the sales are indicative of this. Realme 2 has managed to gain new sales records with the first sale on the ecommerce platform. Film industry’s renowned association, Federation of  Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), helmed by its President B.N. Tiwari and General Secretary Ashok Dubey with their respective office bearers hosted a grand press-meet on Monday, 14th May 2018 in their office situated at Kartik Complex, Link Road, Andheri (West), Mumbai-400 053.On this occasion veteran and renowned music director  & The Padma Bhushan Award winner Khayyam Saheb who gave memorable music in the songs like “Tere chehre se nazar nahi hatati (from Kabhi Kabhi)”Mohabbat bade kaam ki cheez hai” and “Janeman tum kamal karti ho” and the light “Gapuchi Gapuchi gam gam”. “Hazarrahen” from Thodisi Bewafai and “Aaja re o mere dilbarAaja” from Noorie amongst others and his wife Jagjeet Kaur visited the association’s office to donate a cheque of Rs.1,50,000 to FWICE for the welfare of cine workers. HDFC AMC crosses Rs. 3 lakh crore AUM in FY18

The change in the recent savings trend in Indian households and an increase acceptability among financial asset classes bode well for the mutual fund industry for the last financial year. Mutual funds asset under management (AUM) grew by over Rs. 23 lakh crore to stand at Rs. 4.75 lakh crore. Out of this HDFC Asset Management Company Limited (HDFC AMC) has achieved a significant milestone with an AUM crossing the Rs. 3 lakh crore mark in FY18. For the fiscal 2018, the AUM of HDFC AMC stands at Rs. 300,549 lakh crore.

 

HDFC AMC posted growth of 31 percent in net profit for fiscal 2017-18 to Rs 722.61 crore as compared to Rs. 550.24 crore for fiscal 2016-17. The total revenue for HDFC AMC, grown 17.6 percent on YoY basis for FY17-18 to stand at Rs ₹1,867.24 crore vs. Rs. 1,587.91 crore for FY 16-17. HDFC AMC’s average assets under management was at Rs. 3 lakh crore in January-March 2018.

 

HDFC AMC has been a leader in the Indian mutual fund industry as demonstrated by leading position across key industry metrics. The AMC has been the most profitable asset management company in India in terms of net profits since Fiscal 2013, according to CRISIL. Also, the AUM of HDFC AMC has grown at a CAGR of more than 34% since Fiscal 2001. Read more
