It was a task for the casting team of the ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ to cast an actor for the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Vijay Guttee, the director had already rejected around 50 actors for the role and the shoot was three days away. The production team was yet to finalize the actor to play the late politician. It was a last minute decision when a tea vendor was short-listed to play the role as he had the same charm and charisma as the former Prime Minister.

Producer Jagbir Dahiya organised special screening of his Hindi film The Journey of Karma for different NGO’s and social workers at Sunny Super Sound, Juhu . Shakti Kapoor postponed his trip to New Zeland and came to give the cheque to Prayas Charitable Trust and Aap Ki Awaaz Foundation NGO. Sheetal Mhatre who is head of women cell,Congress Youth, Mumbai and Nikita Rawal of Aastha Foundation also came to see the film and to share their views regarding the film. They also cut the cake with media as the film is running successfully all over and has collected more than 4.25 Crore in five days. Jagbir Dahiya has also announced that he will give 20 percent of his film profit for Women empowerment. We wish him all the best for his efforts to support women.

Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films (RKF) has signed on acclaimed filmmaker Sooni Taraporevala to bring to the screen the inspiring and hopeful journey of the two Mumbai boys, Amiruddin Shah and Manish Chauhan, their Israeli-American mentor Yehuda Maor and their families, who triumphed over their circumstances and achieved a feat no Indian ever has before – by making their way to prestigious global ballet institutes like London’s Royal Ballet Academy and the Oregon Ballet Theatre.
