The country’s top policy makers, gem & jewellery stakeholders and decision makers got together for the most significant annual gems & jewellery industry summit – India Gold & Jewellery Summit 2018 – being organized by The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the apex Gem & Jewellery body of India, being held on 23-24 November 2018 in the Capital. Upscale, upgrade and forge partnerships with high potential export markets, said Union Commerce & Industry Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu at GJEPC’s second India Gold Policy & Jewellery Summit 2018. Ms. Rupa Dutta (Economic Adviser, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India) announced that the draft of the Gold Policy will be shared with the Union Finance Ministry in December 2018.

MAMI announces films selected for competition in the India Gold category

The films selected for competition in the India Gold category at the upcoming Mumbai Film Festival were announced by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Images on sep 24.

The complete line-up of the film festival is yet to be announced. The 20th edition of eight-day long film festival is set to run from 25 October to 1 November 2018

The Indian films in the competitive category are Ridham Janve’s Pahari-language The Gold-Laden Sheep And The Sacred Mountain, Aadish Keluskar’s Jaoon Kahan Bata Ae Dil and Vinit Chandrasekharan’s Bodhi.he 14 titles include Devashish Makhija’s Bhonsle, Vinu Kolichal’s Bilathikuzhal, Sangeeta Datta’s documentary Bird Of Dusk, Anupam Kaushik Borah’s Bornodi Bhotiai, and All India Bakchod’s first feature film, Chintu Ka Birthday by Satyanshu Singh and Devanshu Singh.
