5th Edition of Times NOW & ICICI Bank NRI of the Year Awards 2018 Honors Global Indians

Times NOW, India’s leading English news channel from the Times Network and ICICI Bank hosted the 5th edition of NRI of the Year Awards 2018 today in Mumbai. The NRI of the Year Awards salute the spirit of global Indians who have been an inspiration and made a mark for themselves worldwide. Sunil Chhetri, Indian football team Captain was presented with the prestigious Global Indian Icon and Prem Watsa, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive of Fairfax Financial Holdings was conferred with the Special Jury NRI of the Year Award, amidst a glittering evening.

To celebrate NRI of the Year Awards 5th edition, a coffee table book was launched by Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs of India, MK Anand, MD and CEO, Times Network, Vijay Chandok, Executive Director ICICI Bank, Lt. Gen Sudhir Sharma, Advisory Board – India, GIIS and Farokh Balsara -Partner and National Director – Consumer Products and Health Services, Ernst & Young. A new trophy designed by renowned jewellery designer Poonam Soni was also unveiled at the ceremony by Bollywood actress, Chitrangada Singh. Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs of India was the chief guest for the evening and the event was graced by notable personalities including Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri, actress Chitrangada Singh, singer Akriti Kakar many more from the TV and Bollywood industry. Anukreethy Vas, Miss India 2018, Meenakshi Chaudhary, First Runner Up, and Shreya Rao Kamavarapu, Second Runner Up made their first appearances on the red carpet after winning the Miss India tittles. The gala event was hosted by Sameer Kochhar and Mandira Bedi. The evening also witnessed a mesmerizing dance performance by Terrence Lewis Dance Institute. Kalyan Jewellers announces the winners of the global ‘Shop & Win 25 Mercedes Benz CLA’ Campaign

Kalyan Jewellers, India’s trusted and leading jewellery brands has announced the 25 winners from the “Shop & Win 25 Mercedes Benz CLA” global campaign. The campaign which kick-started as part of the brand’s Akshaya Tritiya offer in April drew to a close on the 9th of June.

The India winners were chosen via an electronic raffle while the winners in UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait were identified through individual lucky draws in each country. As announced at the start of the campaign, 10 winners were chosen from India, 7 from UAE, 3 from Qatar, 3 from Oman and 2 from Kuwait. The cars keys will be handed over in the coming weeks after the formalities are completed.

At Kalyan our endeavour has been to enable our customers to extract value from their purchase while providing a great shopping experience. The Kalyan Jewellers global campaign was launched in April and culminated on June 9, 2018 in India, UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait. The campaign marks the single largest offer of free Mercedes Benz CLA in a raffle draw in India and GCC. Customers participated in the promotion by making a minimum purchase across Kalyan Jewellers showrooms in their respective countries. The 15 winners from UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait were also selected in the end of June.

The report titled ‘SME Pulse 2018 – Strategies for Sustainable Growth’ is a global study to explore how SMEs are unlocking growth and playing to their unique strengths in 2018. Ad Astra is the only Indian HR firm that has been considered for participating in the study.

This June will see the launch of Money & Power – a major new season of programmes and features across the BBC’s global TV, radio and online networks exploring how the basic building blocks of our lives are being shaped and reshaped by money.

 

Reporting from countries across the world – China, Korea, Pakistan, Israel, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Sweden, Spain and the US – the month-long exploration will look at how money, and the power it brings, can define our relationships and our lives.  The season will look at how, and why, money causes some relationships to prosper and others to fail.
