Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport put its Airport Emergency Handlers (AEH) through an exhaustive training programme to enhance their preparedness to respond to Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats.
Administered by the National Disaster Management Authority, the six-day programme consisted of lectures, field training as well as live demonstrations of detection and decontamination, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Apart from equipping the AEHs to handle CBRN emergencies, the training programme also refreshed their training in the administration of medical first aid and initial psycho-social support to passengers using the Mumbai Airport. PRIMA WAG12 electric locomotive from Alstom
Alstom announced the completion of its first all-electric locomotive from its state-of-the-art locomotive facility at Madhepura in the State of Bihar, on schedule. In line with the Government’s and Indian Railways’ target towards 100% electrification and towards sustainable mobility, these new locomotives will not only bring down operating costs for the Railways but will significantly cut down greenhouse gas emissions as well. The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has completed 100% placements for this year. International offers were made across Singapore, Switzerland, Germany, Dubai, Vietnam, Myanmar and Africa. The highest domestic offer was of Rs. 19 lakh per annum up 22% from last year and the overall average salary package as of now is Rs. 12.1 lakh.
