What:Tapestry weaving has a rich history and significance since the Hellenistic times. It is a woven form of a painting. Tapestry, as interpreted by us, is a form of art in the medium of textiles having strong elements of texture, feel and beauty. Weaving has the ability to make connections between apparent opposites, which are in reality, extensions of each other. It is a great deal of Endeavour to work with this non-verbal language of woven structure and colour. As artists, we are keen to introduce this distinct; yet not very renowned art form to people.

Tapestry is a unique work of art that is made in a particular woven textile technique. It develops hand-eye co-ordination and increases concentration, with complete absorption in the activity. The activity of tapestry weaving acts as a form of therapy and gives a visually beautiful result at the end. Read more

Tech in Automotive Electronics and MBA in Strategic Engineering Management— exclusively for KPIT employees in Bangalore and Pune. The two-year programs comprise eight modules and a project, all co-created, co-designed, and co-delivered by the faculty members of Coventry University and subject matter experts from KPIT. Carnival Cinemas – is partnering MAMI  in their Year Round Programme (YRP).Renowned Iranian maestro Majid Majidi’s Bollywood debut BEYOND THE CLOUDS and Babis Makridis acclaimed Greek drama PITY that was screened at the World Cinema Dramatic Competition section at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival to mark the beginning of the collaboration.

 

The partnership will kick off with a special screening of BEYOND THE CLOUDS followed by PITY in the next ten days at the newly refurbished Matterden Carnival Cinemas (previously known as Deepak Talkies). In the coming months, screenings will also be held at Liberty Carnival Cinemas

 

The screening of Beyond the Clouds will be followed by a Q & A session with Director Majid Majidi and actors, Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan moderated by Anupama Chopra.

Launched in 2016, the MAMI Year Round Programme is a unique initiative started by MAMI with the belief that it was not enough to have a week-long film festival in a film crazy city like Mumbai. Through the programme, passionate movie lovers can sign up and get free access to the best and latest Indian and international films throughout the year. The Year Round Programme has now screened over 40 films which include sought-after titles like Lady Bird, The Square, Zama, The Shape of Water, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missourie, A Wrinkle In Time and Village Rockstars and hosted workshops as well. Amway celebrates Louis Braille Day in collaboration with All India Confederation of the Blind

Amway India, the country’s largest Direct Selling FMCG company celebrated 209th birth anniversary of Louis Braille with its 15 NGO partners for ninth consecutive year by organizing myriad initiatives. In Gurugram, Amway inaugurated the refurbished computer training center for the visually impaired by upgrading equipment and accessories. This computer center was set up in 2010 as a part of Amway’s National Project for the visually impaired under which Amway supports 15 computer centres across the country benefitting more than 1,000 visually impaired students every year.

 

As a part of the celebrations, a special cultural programme was organized which included group and solo dance performances, followed by Braille reading by the students of AICB. The event witnessed an active participation of Amway direct sellers and employees. Read more
