The valedictory ceremony for the 49th edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa got off to a glittering start at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, in Taleigaon, Goa today November 28, 2018. Union Tourism Minister Shri K. J. Alphons graced the closing ceremony, along with a host of dignitaries from the political and cinematic landscape. Governor of Goa, Smt. Mridula Sinha; Governor of Punjab, Shri V.P. Singh Badnore; Union Minister of State for AYUSH (I/C), Shri Shripad Naik; Minister for Town and Country Planning, Goa, Shri Vijay Sardesai; Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Shri Amit Khare were also present. Indian cine celebrities Anil Kapoor, Rakul Preet, Chitrangada Singh, Diana Penty and Keerthi Suresh walked the red carpet, adding to the colour and glamour of the star-studded evening.

Held today in Sahara Star Mumbai, the expo proved to be theplatform for discovery, collaboration and networking for cinema exhibition industry in India.

Film industry’s renowned association, Federation of  Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), helmed by its President B.N. Tiwari and General Secretary Ashok Dubey with their respective office bearers hosted a grand press-meet on Monday, 14th May 2018 in their office situated at Kartik Complex, Link Road, Andheri (West), Mumbai-400 053.On this occasion veteran and renowned music director  & The Padma Bhushan Award winner Khayyam Saheb who gave memorable music in the songs like “Tere chehre se nazar nahi hatati (from Kabhi Kabhi)”Mohabbat bade kaam ki cheez hai” and “Janeman tum kamal karti ho” and the light “Gapuchi Gapuchi gam gam”. “Hazarrahen” from Thodisi Bewafai and “Aaja re o mere dilbarAaja” from Noorie amongst others and his wife Jagjeet Kaur visited the association’s office to donate a cheque of Rs.1,50,000 to FWICE for the welfare of cine workers. This is third time in a row that they have been donating to the association through their KPJ Charitable Trust. Read more
