After a star-studded celebration of her 25th anniversary with family and friends, India’s leading celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala organised a CSR initiative to encourage a culture of fitness and sport among underprivileged children in association with UACTIV, The Little League Football NGO and Vivekananda Youth Forum. GVK’s Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (MIAL), the company that administers the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), completed twelve years of taking over the operations and therefore celebrated the day with great gusto and fervour. CSIA celebrates this day to specially thank its patrons.

Passengers were treated with a multitude of fun-filled activities all through the day at CSIA. GVK MIAL celebrated its Passengers’ Day with a series of unique initiatives to commemorate the occasion with an array of exciting activities across its levels and terminals. Passengers witnessed live performances by musicians, jugglers and mime artists. CSIA also orchestrated a fun filled evening for families by arranging a thrilling Indian Puppet Show. Keeping alive the interactive spirit, visitors got their caricatures made and engaged in exciting activities like Karaoke, Crazy Portrait and Jenga.

Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds to mark the beginning of the collaboration between MAMI (Year Round Programme) and Carnival Cinemas

Carnival Cinemas – is partnering MAMI  in their Year Round Programme (YRP).Renowned Iranian maestro Majid Majidi’s Bollywood debut BEYOND THE CLOUDS and Babis Makridis acclaimed Greek drama PITY that was screened at the World Cinema Dramatic Competition section at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival to mark the beginning of the collaboration.

 

The partnership will kick off with a special screening of BEYOND THE CLOUDS followed by PITY in the next ten days at the newly refurbished Matterden Carnival Cinemas (previously known as Deepak Talkies). In the coming months, screenings will also be held at Liberty Carnival Cinemas

 

The screening of Beyond the Clouds will be followed by a Q & A session with Director Majid Majidi and actors, Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan moderated by Anupama Chopra.

Launched in 2016, the MAMI Year Round Programme is a unique initiative started by MAMI with the belief that it was not enough to have a week-long film festival in a film crazy city like Mumbai. Through the programme, passionate movie lovers can sign up and get free access to the best and latest Indian and international films throughout the year. The Year Round Programme has now screened over 40 films which include sought-after titles like Lady Bird, The Square, Zama, The Shape of Water, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missourie, A Wrinkle In Time and Village Rockstars and hosted workshops as well. SVF, Eastern India’s largest movie production house recently organized an international Bengali cinema carnival in Bangkok with much fanfare. The star-studded, glitzy carnival, held in the Thailand capital, will air exclusively on Star Jalsha this coming Sunday (February 25), a must-watch for anyone who is interested in Bengali cinema. It is yet another first from SVF which ensured that Bengali filmdom finally landed on foreign shores.

 

From Dev to Ankush, Mimi to Nusrat and Imon to JeetGannguli, the Tollywood stars, singers and musicians were all there, singing, dancing and milling around, rubbing shoulders with one another.
