Bholey Baba, the third song from Villain, is here! This also marks the debut of BADSHAH in Bengali film music. The teaser of the song which was released last evening has already been trending at #1 on YouTube India in less than 12 hours.

Films are incomplete without songs, they give a different feel and create more hype and excitement among the audience to watch it. Out of the several films lined up to release this year during Puja, one of them has already established itself to be a perfect thriller to enjoy along with grooving numbers. Villain, directed by Baba Yadav, stars Tollywood heartthrob Ankush and the desirable divas Mimi Chakraborty and Rittika Sen in lead roles. Read more

ZEE5 presents ‘AranyaDeb’ A ZEE5 Bengali Original

ZEE5, India’s largest and most comprehensive digital entertainment platform for language content announced the launch of AranyaDeb, its first Bengali Original premiering on 10th August. Directed by Debasish Sen Sharma with a stellar star cast in lead roles – actor Jisshu Senguptaand radio presenter Mir Afsar Ali, the movie represents two diasporas of modern times. The narrative moves through four different timelines: early 80’s, mid 90’s, present day and 20 years later. It traces the journey of two friends and their pursuit to find the real superhero within them and around.

Aranya (Jisshu Sengupta), is laidback and considers himself a superhero. Deb (Mir Afsar Ali), on the other hand, is a superhero in all aspects – education, career, family. Aranya and Deb get separated at the age of 14 and find their destiny to meet when they are 40. Something magical happens on that day which changes the course of their lives forever. Read more

After successfully collaborating on Belaseshe, Praktan and Posto leading Indian film studio Eros Internationaland Windows joins hands once again for their next Bengali film Haami, directed by director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee. Starring Shiboprasad Mukherjee himself, Gargi Roychowdhury, Sujan Mukherjee, Churni Ganguly, Kharaj Mukherjee, Koninica Banerjee, Aparajita Adhya and acclaimed contemporary dancer and actor Tanusree Shankar, the film releases on May 18. Bengali Film ‘Elar Char Adhyay’ gets huge applauds from Cine-goers

The Bengali Film ‘Elar Char Adhyay’ got huge applauds from the Cine-goers at IFFI-2012. The film is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s classic ‘Char Adhyay’ (Four Chapters). The actors of the film Paoli Dam, Vikram Chatterjee and Indraneil Sengupta shared their experiences of acting in their maiden Tagore film at the 43rd International Film Festival of India in Goa, today. They said it’s a different kind of film and portraying the characters were really challenging. Paoli revealed that the director of the film Bappaditya Bandopadhyay has meticulously designed the costumes of the characters keeping in mind the period of the film.
