Sublime Galleria, UB City presents celebrated artist, Madhuri Bhadhuri’s latest collection of artworks, ‘In a Remembered Land’. The exhibition is an awe-inspiring collection of art, crafting landscapes in bold strokes and heavy emotions.

The Opening Night is on Friday – 08 February from 6pm onwards, and the paintings will be on display until 05 March 2019 (11am – 8pm, Monday-Saturday).

The 93-minute documentary shows bone-chilling, daredevil, secret raid-and-rescue operations, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats. Kailash Satyarthi’s noble mission and selfless work, captured on film, exposes the plight of young children who are trafficked for forced labour. The film also apprises audiences of the grave threats and attacks that Mr. Satyarthi and his colleagues have endured over the past four decades in an endeavour to rescue and restore childhood.

After receiving many national and international awards as a film producer and presenter for his movies like Halal, Lathe Joshi, 31st October, Perfume; Amol Kagne is all set to make his acting debut with Milind Ukey’s ‘Monsoon Football’ which is a UKEY film production in association with Vivid Sportz. Amol who is a Maharashtrian by birth will be seen playing the character of a Gujrati husband to one of the female leads in the film.

When asked about his preparation for his role Amol said, “It’s a good opportunity for me to be a part of such good films. The character that I am playing is that of a Gujrati husband and is very challenging for me as I am a Maharashtrian so I learned Gujrati from my make-up dada on the set and also spent a lot of time with one of my Gujrati friend from whom I picked up some tips for the behaviorism. I also had to gain around 6kgs of weight for my role in this film.” Read more

Das’ third independent feature in Assamese language made its World Premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2018 in the competition segment, “Contemporary World Cinema”

Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director of Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) says, “Last year Rima Das came to the Festival with Village Rockstars, her delightful drama about a girl with a dream. After its premiere here, it went on to sweep India’s National Film Awards and play dozens of festivals around the world. Das is back with another breath of fresh air, once again shot amidst the timeless beauty of her home village in India’s Assam state. As in the earlier film, Das imbues every frame with insight and respect, and this time there’s a growing exploration of adolescence. Bulbul Can Sing is no simple rural idyll. Read more
