XLRI- Xavier School of Management recently hosted the ‘27th Annual JRD Tata Oration on Business Ethics’ on November 29th, 2018 at XLRI Campus in Jamshedpur.

Siddharth Roy Kapur has been re-elected as the President of the Producers Guild of India. He has previously served as the President since January 2017. It was a unanimous decision taken at the first meeting of newly appointed Guild Council on 28th September 2018.

In addition, Sunjoy Waddhwa the eminent television producer has also been elected as the Vice President of the Producers Guild of India. At the same time Priti Shahani and Fazila Allana have been nominated to the Guild Council of Management along with Milan Luthria and Akshaye Widhani who have been included in the Guild Council as Special Invitees. Mr. Annanya Agarwal, Founder & CEO, Runaya Refining recently hosted a networking dinner for the India-based parents and alumni of the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA), in Mumbai. Mr. Dave Shepherd, Director of College Advancement, UWCSEA presided over the meet, that was attended by some of the distinguished alumni.

Mr. Agarwal graduated from UWCSEA seven year ago and has now successfully founded Runaya Refining with the aim to enhance sustainable manufacturing practices in the metals sector. He is of the view that the world is moving much faster than our education programs and we still use archaic systems to teach extinct topics. Speaking on the occasion, he said “UWCSEA has always managed to be ahead of most other institutions in learning, growing, and evolving with the changing global situation. The fifth edition of ‘Embassy Pedal for the Planet’ was hosted today at Embassy Golf Links. Underscoring the popularity of previous editions, the event this year witnessed participation from over 1000 cyclists and fitness enthusiasts, cutting across all age groups. The event was also the first ‘plastic-free’ outdoor event, laying greater emphasis on the Government of Karnataka’s efforts to make Bengaluru plastic-free. This initiative by Embassy Group seeks to foster closer relations within the communities it operates and ties in to the company’s ethos to promote healthy living and to work towards a greener planet.
