Standing at 5’9 inches tall with long flowing hair and sharp facial features, Aakriti Anand Singh is every bit an arresting beauty. As a ramp model, her confidence, poise and graceful walk has made her one of the most sought after names in the fashion industry. Not surprisingly, Bollywood beckoned soon enough and Aakriti is today ready to display her acting chops on the 70mm. In a tete-a-tete with Indianshowbiz.com, the leggy lass who will be making her debut with Luv..Phir Kabhi talks about modelling and Bollywood dreams.
Aakriti, tell us something about you ?
Virtuous, vivacious and vibrant that is how I would like describe myself. I am from the pink city Jaipur. I am a dreamer and achiever and Bollywood is on my wish list next. As a person, I am practical, brimming with optimism and positivite attitude, a few qualities that I have inherited from my parents.
How did modelling happen?
Modelling fascinated me right from my childhood. Infact, I was my moms first model. At the age of 15, I took part in Miss Jaipur pageant. I won the contest and since then there has been no looking back. But I took this career professionally only 3 years back after winning Miss Top Model of the World 2012.
Which designers you have worked with?
I have worked almost all the top designers of the country along with international designers from Thailand Poland UK and Mauritius.
Was Bollywood always on your mind?
My work is always on my mind which includes both acting and modelling.
What kind of roles are you aiming to play in Bollywood?
I would love to play the sporty character of Priyanka Chopra in MaryCom and the sweet bubbly girl next door like Alia from Highway and also the very commercial role like Sonakshi from Dabbang. In short, I would love to do all kinds of versatile roles in Bollywood.
What would you say are your strong points?
My height, my confidence, my looks and a figure to die for.

I am a born dancer and music runs in my blood. Though my dancing forte is Bollywood, I have also learnt ballroom dance forms like salsa, bachata, meringue, jive, tango, waltz and also some jazz and hip hop.
Who are the directors you would like to work with ?
Are u kidding me? I want to work with all of them.
Will modelling take a backseat as u get into Bollywood?
I would not say that modelling will take a back seat but yes I will be more selective about my assignments and endorsements.
Are you also open for television as well?
I am an actress and I believe in acting, be it on the small screen or the big one.
