Simba Toys, one of the leading toy manufacturers globally, has associated with the movie Shaadi Ke Side effects produced by Pritish Nandy Communications & Balaji for their in-film branding. Steffi, the beautiful doll by Simba Toys will be seen in the entire movie as the favorite toy of Baby Mili (Sid and Trisha’s daughter played by Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan).Apart from Steffi, Shaadi Ke Side effects will be seen featuring Simba Toys’ other brands Cotoons as a brand for infants, Art & Fun, Smoby to name a few. Speaking on this association, Shree Narayan Sabharwal said, “We are delighted to be associated with Balaji and Pritish Nandy Communications for their upcoming movie ‘Shaadi Ke Side effects’. The movie is the best platform to showcase Simba’s brands such as Steffi doll, back to school range along with other product line of Simba.” Alpana Mishra, CEO at Balaji said, “We are very happy to associate with Simba Toys. Innovative and disruptive ways of association are always what we as Producers look for and this gave us an ideal opportunity to do the same. It is a very good brand fit with the film.”
Ishita Pritish Nandy, Chief Brand Strategist, Pritish Nandy Communications who worked directly with the brand on the association says, “We have 14 brands placed in Shaadi ke Side Effects but when you watch the film never does any of them come across as a brand that does not fit in. They’ve all been seamlessly integrated and Simba Toys is one such example. Farhan and Vidya who play the iconic characters of Sid and Trisha have a child who is integral to the storyline and thereby came the idea of having a baby toys brand associated with her character. Simba Toys’ popular product Steffi Girl has been interestingly placed with the child as if to suggest it is her constant companion through good and bad. There is a strong emotional connect which explains why both parties were interested from the word go. Several creative discussions combined with flawless execution have resulted in a very effective brand tie-up. We’re thrilled to associate with Simba Toys.”
An expert in movie merchandise, Simba toys also associated with Krrish 3 to launch their toys and has the exclusive license for international movies like Cars, Iron Man, and Spider Man amongst others.
