In a bid to promote the joy of sport and also identify India’s Faastest man and woman, PUMA launched the FAAS TEST challenge in February 2012. Conducted across 7 cities in India, at multiple locations within each city, the challenge witnessed huge participation from people across all walks of life. The winners of the challenge finale held today were honoured with the title of Faastest Man / Woman in India and were rewarded with the prized opportunity to meet Usain Bolt, at the Prestigious Diamond Meet at Zurich.
The FAAS Test challenge finale was flagged off by PUMA’s fitness ambassador, Chitrangada Singh, who came out to support the faas test athletes in Mumbai today. Finalists (men and woman category) competed at the finale, and the event was open to wild card entrants who could exceed previously set faas test times. Setting a blistering pace at 28.2 km/hr was Bharat Khanna from Dehradun, in the male category and Esha Shah from Bangalore took first place in the female category with 21.0 km/hr.
“Running at the FAAS Test finale was a fun experience and the level of competition was fantastic. And I love the FAAS shoes. Very vibrant colours and so comfortable”, said Chitrangada Singh.
The duration of the pan-India contest saw celebrity entries such as PankajAdvani, ArmaanEbrahim, Mallika Haydon, AdamGilchrist, hockey greats like Prabhjot Singh and GaganAjit Singh participate. Also, team members of the Deccan Chargers – J.P.Duminy, Daniel Harris, Sunny Sohal, Pankaj Singh and members of Rajasthan Royals – Rahul Dravid, Shaun Tait, Pankaj Singh, AjinkyaRahane, ran alongside everyday Indians.
