Bangalore Beats, Mumbai Meri Jaan, The City Beautiful-Chandigarh, Colors Of Kolkata, Rang-Rangilo Jaipur, Hazaribaugh Accompanied, – these are just a few projects Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB participants have submitted since the launch of the campaign on February 25 in India. In an effort to unify Millennials through music, participating Indians have submitted 154 different artistic projects to date across the four creative categories: DJs, Vocalists/Instrumentalists, Film Makers, and Motion Graphic Artists.
The final winner in each category will stand a chance to receive US$10,000 and travel to Singapore to participate in a five-day workshop, where they will connect and collaborate with regional mentors to produce an exclusive MTV music video with the theme ‘Pulse of the World’. The music video will be aired across the seven participating Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB countries: India, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand and provide the opportunity for each of the four winners to shine.
With project submissions now closed, starting tomorrow, Indians will have the opportunity to champion their favorite projects in each category. Voters stand a chance to win a trip to Singapore to attend the “making of the music video” workshop.
· Where to vote: Lenovo-MTV CO: LAB website: www.project-colab.com
· Voting period: 1 May 2013 – 9 May 2013
· How often you can vote: Indians can vote once an hour and every vote can be for the same entry or different entries
Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB is an integrated social platform that enables Millennials from across seven countries in Asia Pacific, to share stories about their communities through music. The projects submitted in the first phase were based on the theme ‘Pulse of the City’ and can be viewed here: www.project-colab.com/showcase/all.
Leveraging the resources provided by Lenovo and MTV, the competition empowers the most progressive, creative and talented Millennials from India to connect and collaborate with likeminded individuals who do not just dream about accomplishing their goals but go out there and do. Winning talents across these four categories are determined by public votes and regional mentor inputs.
