South of Vindhyas, at The Orchid, Vile Parle East is celebrating Maharashtra Day by organizing a five-day long Maharashtrian Food Promotion commencing on May 1st and shall continue to enthrall till May 5th . Maharashtra attained statehood on May 1st 1960 which is celebrated with gusto by the state government including a ceremonial parade, traditional dances and cultural programs at the Shivaji Park in Central Mumbai. Not to leave behind the rich culinary legacy that Maharashtra commands, South of Vindhyas will be serving three special Maharashtrian sit down buffets in Vegetarian, Non-Vegetarian and Seafood combination for both lunch and dinner. Chef Navid, the Executive Chef will tantalize the palates of all the Maharashtrian food aficionados by dishing out unique combination of traditional Maharashtrian dishes on every day of the five days long celebration.
