It’s that time of the year! Atul Kasbekar, Colston Julian, Jaideep Oberoi, Prasad Naik, Rohan Shreshtha, Tarun Khiwal and Avinash Gowarikar, will be back to celebrate ‘Proud Fathers For Daughters’. At the 5th edition of this annual event hosted by Project Nanhi Kali, the ace photographers will be capturing magical moments that demonstrate the father daughter bond. Conceptualized over a conversation between Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra group and Atul Kasbekar, ‘Proud Fathers for Daughters’ aims to change mindsets and attitude towards the girl child in India by celebrating the special father daughter bond. The idea behind this was to send out a message in our patriarchal society that daughters are as precious as sons and Fathers, should be equally proud of their daughters. Some of the celebrity father-daughter duos who have come in support over the years, include Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Ridhima Kapoor, Javed Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar, Sachin Tendulkar and Sara Tendulkar, Sayami Kher and Adwait Kher, Pooja Hegde and Manjunath Hegde.
This unique fundraiser event provides an opportunity for every father and daughter to do good, while also being clicked by the finest in the country. All you need to do is register online and show up at Mehboob Studio, Bandra, between 10am – 5pm on October 6/7, 2018. While the photographers do not charge any fee, there is a registration charge for the photoshoot which goes towards education of an underprivileged girl through Project Nanhi Kali. Together with other participants, this event has raised enough proceeds to fund the education of 1200 girls over the last four years. The objective is the same this year, so please join us to have candid moments with your father/daughter captured and to #HighFiveForEducation with us!
