Fabindia announces the launch of its annual signature collection – INDIGO. Celebrating Indigo, the pigment that is used to dye the base fabric for the entire range, Fabindia’s distinctive style and signature blue takes a contemporary spin this season with the strong and edgy Indigo collection.

Adding a new dimension to the signature range, this year’s offering, #NotJustAnyIndigo is distinguished by its striking design that combines a bold palette of indigo, berry red, off white and black with eclectic Central Asian-inspired prints. The motifs command an appeal that represents authenticity, creative confidence and originality; through the entire collection, this is evident.

The collection focuses on the purity of the earthy Indigo pigment. Unlike many hues that emerge and recede as trending favourites, Indigo has maintained a deeper significance. One of the oldest pigments, it was originally created from the Indian plant Indigo Tintoria, hence the name Indigo, meaning Indian ink.

Working with artisans from Rajasthan and Kutch using time-honoured printing techniques such as Ajrakh and Dabu, Fabindia’s Indigo collection creates a new design direction that marries traditional design aesthetics with chic and exciting silhouettes.

Speaking about the latest collection, Mr. Viney Singh, Managing Director, Fabindia said, “We take immense pride in this season’s Indigo collection as we have given our signature offering a contemporary makeover. The Indigo range is a tribute to our artisans with whom we work closely to bring products to urban audiences across India. Significant design inputs have gone into this annual collection.”

Spanning kurtas, summer dresses, shirts, scarves, saris and bags the Indigo collection is now available in stores across India as well as available on the Fabindia website.
