First edition of Rajnigandha HT Imagine Fest served as a perfect relaxing weekend for the city

Post the success of HT Imagine Fest’s preview, the team behind HT Palate Fest organised an attainable art festival in New Delhi for the first time. 


The two-day arts festival took place on 10th & 11th March 2018 at Nehru Park which featured art galleries from all over India showcasing diverse artwork from leading to upcoming artists. The 1st edition of Rajnigandha HT Imagine Fest offered an enhanced experience to its audience with the introduction of  ‘Visual Arts’, allowing people to access affordable, attainable and well-curated pieces ranging from Rs 5,000 to under Rs 1.5 lakh, thus enabling them to buy and enjoy art that is aesthetically pleasing to them.


To keep the audience entertained, the festival witnessed theatre and music performances by Pragnya Wakhlu, OSA Drum Circle, Swarrveda & Kutle Khan, Gurgaon Theatre Group, The Laura-Joe Santana Quartet, Cueless Improv Comedy and Indian Ocean.


“HT Imagine Fest will be showcased art in its broad sense and featured theatre, talks, food and music. The aim was to provide the art lovers of the city, an unprecedented experience, where in they can not only enjoy art but can also buy what they like at affordable price. Alongside the art and music & theatre performances, this exquisite festival also witnessed interactive art workshops for kids and adults by Amity Art Foundation, Artreach India and Sangeet Shyamla. The offerings also included insightful and interactive talk sessions by Rajen Makhijani, Ramesh Sippy, Imtiaz Ali, William Dalrymple and Virender Sehwag, where in each speaker shared their success stories with their fans and interacted with them.


The festival showcased art works from top art galleries, artists and institutes namely, Art and Aesthetic, Art Motif, Art Project, Artist Prenita Dutt, Artoholics, Artreach India, Arts of the Earth, Arts4All, Arushi Arts, Crayon Art Gallery, Delhi Crafts Council, Easel Stories, FICA, Gallerie Nvya, Gallerie Spalsh, Gallery Espace, Latitude 28, Ojas Art, Sangeet Shyamla, Studio Art, Visual Artist Parul Mehra, Wonderwall & Zen and the Art of Entanglement.


And what’s a festival without food? Rajnigandha HT Imagine Fest also featured a curated food experience from renowned and established hotels and restaurants like The Leela Place, Amici, Elma’s Kitchen, Fat Lulus, Flurys, Giani, Popo Grill, Imagine (Juice), Kaffa Cerrado, Keventers, Muskotia Farms, Orient Heritage, Picco Licko, Vada Pao Junction, Veda and Wok to Walk
