Disability Day at Oberoi Mall

In an attempt to encourage persons with disability, Oberoi Mall celebrated disability day on 5th December. In association with IMFPA- Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists, Foot artists Bandenawaz Nadaf  and Nadeem Riyasat Ali Shaikh painted live at Mall atrium.

Through this activity, Oberoi mall aims at bringing to broad daylight the talent of people with disability which has gone unnoticed over the years. The mall patrons were delighted to witness live painting session by this immaculate artist. The artists were cheered up with the affectionate response from the crowd throughout the session.

“We were glad to host the team of IMFPA for displaying their art live at our mall. It’s a small initiative by our team to celebrate the differently abled friends of the society and we strive to continue doing out bit towards the community” Said Anupam T., Vice-president Oberoi Mall.

Formed in 1956, the MFPA is an international, self-help association of disabled artists wholly owned and run by artists themselves to meet their financial needs. Self-help and not charity is their motto.
