The first day of India Kids Fashion Week 2017 wrapped up with much fervor and enthusiasm in Delhi on 29th July. India Kids Fashion Week is an initiative of Event Capital (A Laqshya Media Group Company) and Craftworld Events and is being held in association with Décor partner Asian Paints and Kids Channel Partner Sony YAY! At the Radisson Blu in Dwarka.
Over 400 enthusiastic kids walked the ramp at the event. mom-to-be Soha Ali Khan walked the ramp on day 1 of IKFW Delhi for the brand Enchanted Velvet while actor Darsheel Safary walked the ramp for Aamayra. Day 1 was opened by KidZania, followed by Aamayra, Enchanted Velvet, Brat N Pret with the closing segment from Asian Paints Kids World styled by Tiber Taber.
Day 2 of the show will see brands like Papa Jama, Azzura Kids, BIBA Girls, Gini and Jony, Kids Around and Kirti Rathore. Kids from the Smile Foundation will also walk the ramp for the brand Papa Jama while Carol Gracias will walk the ramp for BIBA Girls.
Commenting on this, Mr. Manoj Mahla, Owner of Craftworld Events said, “The first day has been a grand success and we are even more charged up now for day 2 which promises to be a great spectacle. We are glad to be providing a platform wherein kids can just come and have fun while also receiving great exposure and at the same time, brands and designers can directly reach out to their target markets.”
Mom-to-be Soha Ali Khan said, “This is a great opportunity for kids to just go out there and have fun. It’s wonderful to see kids so confident and enthusiastic and taking to the stage without any nervousness or fear. There’s a lot one can learn from these kids and walking the ramp with them was a wonderful experience for me.”
India Kids Fashion Week is the foremost initiative in the country that gives the kids’ apparel market a platform to showcase their offerings and make a mark in the international fashion industry. After the Delhi edition, the Mumbai edition of IKFW will be held on 12th and 13th August at The LaLit in Mumbai.
