The film stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead role of Mary Kom the boxer hailing from north-east.The film depicts Kom’s journey of becoming a boxer to her victory at the 2008 World Boxing Championships in Ningbo. It was a moment of pride when Mary Kom won the medal for the country.

A 2014 Indian action thriller film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss. It is a remake of Murugadoss’ own acclaimed Tamil film Thuppakki (2012). It features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. Akshay Kumar plays Virat, a soldier, accidentally bumps into a terrorist who plans to rip apart Mumbai with a series of blasts. Virat gathers his team and it is up to him to save Mumbai from terrorists.
